What's going on Hardin County?

Closed 07/04/2023

Hardin County Government will be closed on Tuesday, July 4, 2023, in recognition of Independence Day.
We will resume normal business hours on Wednesday, July 5, 2023.

Please note that the trash pick-up schedule will be as follows for the 4th of July week:
Monday – regular pick-up
Tuesday – NO PICK-UP
The remainder of the week will run one day behind schedule.

Lindblom selected as state Jailer of the Year

Law enforcement agencies participate in drone training

The Hardin County Sheriff's Office recently provided free drone training with Seiler Geospatial on June 14th & 15th at Hardin County Fairgrounds to public safety entities. This is just one of the many training sessions Hardin County's various public safety departments participate in throughout the year to stay on top of the best ways to assist our citizens and we appreciate all that they do! Kentucky Veterans Hall of Fame monument unveiled in Elizabethtown

The new granite monument honoring local inductees into the Kentucky Veterans Hall of Fame was unveiled Saturday by state Sen. Matt Deneen, Hardin County Judge/Executive Keith Taul and H.B. Deathrage, founder of the Hall of Fame. It is the sixth such local monument dedicated in the state. You can read more in The News Enterprise's article covering the event.

Gathering promotes love as remedy to nation's violence

Overcoming Hate with Love is an annual gathering that serves to remember victims of violence, including the nine victims of 2015 Emanuel AME Church shooting in Charleston, South Carolina, and focus on love to one day put an end to it.

EMS visits New Highland Elementary's Summer program

Kids spent the morning learning about all the different equipment EMS carried on. They also were amazed to see that EMS trauma shears can cut through pennies!
