County Attorney

The Hardin County Attorney serves as the legal advisor and litigation manager for Hardin County, including each of its elected officials, their offices, and all county departments.

In addition, the County Attorney’s Office prosecutes violations of criminal law within the jurisdiction of Hardin District Court to include misdemeanors, DUI’s, traffic violations and domestic violence cases.  The office also prosecutes all juvenile cases as well as child protection cases in Family Court.  We assist petitioners with filing Mental Inquest Warrants/Involuntary Hospitalization, Guardianship Petitions, and Petitions for Involuntary Treatment for drug or alcohol addiction.

In cooperation with Kentucky’s Cabinet for Health and Family services, the office has a child support enforcement division to serve the needs of local families.
